The associative project
In accordance with article 3 of the statues adopted in September 2002, the purpose of Argile is:

• To identify and make known all the needs of people touched by the addictions or any affection being attached to it, including the infectious risks, and in particular hepatitis's et the AIDS,,
• To create and take part in networks of support for the people living with the addictions and/or their consequences, pathological or social and their entourage, to meet their social, medical, psychological, legal and financial needs,
• To defend and promote the rights and the dignity of the people living with addictions, in particular by supporting emergence and by supporting groups of auto-support,
• To disseminate founded information, in collaboration with the medical institutions, of research and associations partners of Community health and social actions,
• To organize and support public campaigns and adapted actions of information, prevention and reduction of the risks,
• To ensure the information and the information and the training of the people likely to intervene in the field of inforation on the addictions, on the reduction of the infectious ridks and the assumption of responsability of people touched by addictions,
• To publish or support of diffusion of all documents and supports relating to the addictions and the reduction of the infectious risks, their knowlege, their treatment and their prevention.

A policy in the field of addictions
The whole project is based on an ethic foundation derived from the capitalization and the analysis of an experience grown from the initerary of all association member's.
In a complementary way, ethics (confidentialy, nonthe judgement, here and now...) are used as a daily working tool, the aspects of Communauty health are taken into account when thinking intervention modes out, and the risks reduction of pathologies other than psychological and/or psychiatric (hépatitis et AIDS among others) are clearly considered as a basis for day to day activities of the Associations memebers.

This mean that Argile integrates to its practices a global community health approach that should favour the emergence of individual self-help. This allows the observation and analysis of the many addict's vulnerabilities, and to carry a clear message for the need of risk prevention and assistance of addicts in the political arena.

Our goal is, besides a systematic outreach promotion; to really take up the subject of the interactions between addictions and STD's (sexually transmissible diseases), to work in close partnership with the networks acting in the areas of hepatitis and/or AIDS, and to expose ideas and promote health.The reduction of health risks and damages caused by substance abuse is at the essence of the Association.
